Exams can bring with them differing levels of stress and anxiety for both students and their parents or caregiver. For parents and caregivers, often you can see and feel the stress your teens are under. They might be worried about how much study they have done, their ability to recall information or how they will perform in their exam.
Parents and caregivers are not immune to “exam stress” either. Naturally, you don’t want to see your teen struggling and dealing with the pressure that exams might cause. On the other hand, a teen that is very relaxed about their upcoming exams may also cause stress for parents and caregivers.
Edel Walsh is a student and exam coach with significant expertise in this area. Edel is also a qualified Parent Coach with the Irish Life Coaching Institute.
In this webinar, “Coping with Exam Pressure: Support for Parents” Edel will provide parents and caregivers of exam students with tools and techniques to support them through their exams.
The Webinar covers the following topics:
• The power of mindset
• Learning and the teenage brain
• Encouraging productive study (the study space, productivity, procrastination & goal setting and planning).
• Good stress and bad stress at exam time
• Minding your own mind to support your teens at exam time.
• Tips for parents and caregivers
